Chipbreaker tool holder

Material: 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb

Process: Drilling D8*161 deep holes

Traditional processing challenges: Due to the high toughness and poor thermal conductivity of stainless steel, long chips are generated, which easily adhere to the tool. During processing, peck drilling must be used, and after each peck drilling operation, the tool must be completely withdrawn from the hole to remove chips, significantly reducing efficiency. During tool withdrawal, the drill bit repeatedly friction against the hole wall, easily causing vibration marks or scratches. Frequent entry and exit of the drill bit from the hole, coupled with chips scraping against the cutting edge in the opposite direction during cutting, accelerates tool wear.

Bai Jiang Machining Solution: Based on the principle of chip-breaking tool holders, forced chip breaking is achieved, resulting in controlled chip breaking effects. The G81 program can be used to drill through the hole in one go without the need for peck drilling and retraction, saving processing time and effectively extending tool life.
