Traditional processing pain points: For large-scale keyway machining, conventional methods typically involve broaching, which requires specialized broaching machines and incurs high economic costs. Using broaching machines also adds an extra process step, potentially leading to cost and quality issues due to process transitions and secondary clamping. Changes to keyway dimensions require redesigning the broach.

Bai Jiang Processing Solution: The polygonal boring tool holder is compatible with conventional machining centers and can directly bore keyways on the machining center, facilitating process consolidation and cost reduction. The boring tool holder is equipped with a “micro-adjustment unit” that can adjust the dimensions of the keyway, with an adjustment range of 0-2.5mm. If the dimension change exceeds the adjustment range, the trajectory ring inside the tool holder must be replaced.
